Book review :Palace of illusions.

Book name: The Palace of illusions. Author.      : Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni. 'And there he was, sitting across the fire, smiling that charming, infuriating smile. Was my anxiety causing me to hallucinate? “A situation in itself,” he said, “is neither happy nor unhappy. It’s only your response to it that causes your sorrow. But enough of philosophy! I’m hungry.” ' Palace of illusions is an engrossing retelling of the great epic Mahabharat from the perspective of Draupadi. The story unravels with the birth of Draupadi and narrates her viewpoint of the world and the male chauvinistic society. She was unique, smart, impatient and had an unending need to know everything. The story also reveals the not so good side of her driven by revenge and also of her forbidden love with the nemesis.  📖  This is quite different from all the retellings of the epic in that it tells it from the standpoint of one the greatest female character. It is also different in a way it reveals t

Book review :Who Moved My Cheese 🧀 by Dr. Spencer Johnson.

Image
Name:  Who Moved My Cheese  Author: Dr. Spencer Johnson  Who Moved My Cheese as the title suggests a way to deal with change. The story is about four friends: two mice called Sniff & Scurry 🐁🐀 and two Little People called Hem & Haw 👬. Their daily routine involves venturing into a maze in search of fresh Cheese🧀. And one day they finally find their Cheese and started using the Cheese on a daily basis when eventually changes occur. How each member reacts to the change is the simple plot line. 📖 This book is recommended by a friend of mine. The story conveys that change is permanent and how  we react to it determines the way by which our life would be led on from that point onwards. The story gives you serious life lessons which can be implemented in all aspects of our lives. 📖 The story is totally different from my normal read. The language is really simple, short and precise. I would definitely recommend to anyone getting their hands on a books for the first time. And ther
